What You’ll do
● Apply extensive database skills that will have an immediate and noticeable impact on
improving the company’s products
● Perform database maintenance and scalability, helping the
engineering team grow the company’s software offerings using cloud technologies to
support a rapidly increasing customer base
● Collaborate with project managers to comprehend, prioritize and develop database
enhancements that will support the company’s software development initiatives
● Respond to database related alerts and escalations and work with the database and other technical teams to identify and resolve
Key Skills
● 6+ years in IT operations with strong understanding of database structures and practices.
● Experience in SQL 2008R2/2012/2014/2016 database management and related products from Microsoft.
● Extensive experience designing, writing and troubleshooting complex queries, stored procedures, functions, tables, and indexes.
● Must have experience with the creation ETL processes, SSIS and SSRS.
● Must be able to troubleshoot complex queries, initiate T-SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
● Experience with data warehouse and automation.
● Experience in cloud database technologies like Azure SQL is a plus.
● Must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
● Work with developers to troubleshoot application problems related to the database.
Preferred Skills
●Experience in SQL server installation, configuration & patching
●Knowledge of High Availability solutions (Replication, Always On or Log Shipping)
● Technical documentation skills
● Ability to work within a team environment
●Familiar with upgrades, migrations, backup and recovery options
●Able to implement the best database security practices
●Any prior programming knowledge is a plus
Typical Experience & Education
● Excellent verbal and written English skills
● Experience building software with a distributed team
● Experience building, deploying and maintaining databases using cloud technologies
● Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent years of experience
Immediate joiners/ Maximum notice period of 30 days would be preferred.
